At Pacific Northwest Pilates (PNWP), we provide aspiring instructors with the knowledge, practical experience, and expert guidance needed to succeed in STOTT PILATES® education. To support students in building a strong foundation, we offer interactive anatomy education and opportunities to refine movement and integrate course material. Our programs emphasize a hands-on, supportive learning environment to help students gain confidence and deepen their understanding as they progress toward certification.

Overview
Designed for individuals with a foundation in anatomy and movement—the STOTT PILATES® Intensive Program offers a structured, modular approach to Pilates education. Covering Levels 1, 2, and Injuries & Special Populations, this program provides a comprehensive, science-based approach to the Pilates method, integrating modern exercise principles and rehabilitation techniques for a highly effective and contemporary practice.
The intensive STOTT PILATES® course training at Pacific Northwest Pilates is overseen by a dedicated and highly skilled team of six women with diverse backgrounds and many years of experience teaching both clients and students in training. PNWP Instructor Trainers leverage their combined knowledge to provide students with a deeper, more comprehensive understanding of Pilates, blending diverse teaching approaches and practical experience.

After completing courses and passing the exam, you’ll earn your STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor title and certificate, giving you the credentials to teach the method.
Overview
Designed for licensed healthcare professionals, the STOTT PILATES® Rehabilitation Program provides a structured, movement-based approach to neuromuscular re-education. This modular program teaches practitioners how to integrate modified STOTT PILATES exercises into rehabilitation and injury prevention practices. Participants will learn to assess movement strategies, apply neuromotor training principles, and use cueing techniques to enhance patient engagement in recovery.
The program at Pacific Northwest Pilates is exceptional because Melanie Byford-Young, co-owner of PNWP, was a primary collaborator and co-editor of the STOTT PILATES® Rehabilitation Program. In 2007, she played a key role in its redevelopment, contributing to the new instructor curriculum, training materials, and DVDs, in which she also appears. Known for her passion and generosity in sharing knowledge, she brings invaluable expertise to the courses.

After completing courses and passing the exam, participants earn the STOTT PILATES® Rehabilitation Instructor designation, equipping them with the expertise to integrate Pilates into clinical and therapeutic settings.
Overview
At Pacific Northwest Pilates, we offer three specialized Merrithew® courses that explore the role of fascia in movement, blending the latest research with practical application. These courses provide movement professionals with a deeper understanding of fascial health and how to optimize it for improved mobility, resilience, and performance.

These courses are ideal for Pilates instructors, yoga teachers, personal trainers, movement therapists, and other fitness professionals. Upon completion, participants can integrate these techniques into their existing qualifications. No examination is required.
