Learn Pilates Fundamentals in 8 Weeks!

Practice & Perfect the Essentials of Pilates in 16 sessions

 

The Pilates Fundamentals Series at Pacific Northwest Pilates (PNWP) provides clients an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of Pilates with a student-in-training in our Train to Teach mentorship program. You can learn more about Train to Teach HERE.

The series runs for 8 weeks, twice a week. The first three weeks will begin with private instruction with a Train to Teach student followed by Pilates group fundamentals classes on mat and reformer.

Every class will be observed or co-taught by a Certified Instructor Trainer at Pacific Northwest Pilates. The program provides participants with the foundation, skills and body awareness to progress step-by-step through the basic mat and reformer Pilates programming. Clients who attend the Fundamentals Series will gain the strength, flexibility and coordination to move confidently to the next level and attend drop-in classes.

Small, personalized classes teach you:

  • The five basic principles of STOTT PILATES
  • Over 50 basic mat and reformer exercises including modifications
  • Full-body movement to develop strength, flexibility, balance and coordination
  • How to identify better movement patterns in your own body to keep your joints and tissue healthy
  • How to adjust the Pilates reformer and set-up the machine for your body
  • How to use small props to intensify or simplify exercises
  • Modifications, personal reminders and cues to help you get the most out of your workout

 

The Pilates Fundamentals Series runs seasonally on Tuesday and Thursdays from 5:45 – 6:45 p.m.

Fall 2022 dates:

September 13 & 15 (private sessions)

September 20 & 22 (private sessions)

September 27 & 29 (private sessions)

October 4 & 6 (group sessions)

Note: No Class October 9-16

October 18 & 20 (group sessions)

October 25 & 27 (group sessions)

November  1 & 3 (group sessions)

November 8 & 10 (group sessions)
